master p

Levi during graduation

so you may now refer 2 my husband as master p. just teasing. the fam all gathered saturday @ TSU where we celebrated with paul as he walked across the stage and received his master's diploma graduating with a 4.0 might i add. it was quite the event with a 2 year old and a newborn but gran and gramps were a huge help and we survived. and of course owen, levi and i were super proud of all dad's hard work and were more thrilled than you can imagine that it's behind us! so now pray 4 a job opening nearby!

the boys...

so the highlight of my day today was removing my toe nail polish from my toes, and trust me it was way past time. i call that a successful day...that i found the time 2 do so. can i get an amen from all my mom's of 2+ out there! and i got in some good levi time while big bro owen was @ kidz day out. and i managed to snap a few pics of levi which i did such a better job @ when owen was little. oh, and can't forget a few pics of big bro and little bro being so sweet. i'm sure those moments will be limited in the future. :)

sorry i haven't been great @ blogging or even staying up 2 date on all my pals blogs, i will eventually join the land of the living!

Levi's Arrival

Levi Paul Gray made his arrival Monday night @ 7:04 weighing 7 lbs. 14 oz. 21 1/4 in.

Well it was a perfect day and all I had hoped and expected it 2 be, minus going home with a catheter (long story). We're all adjusting really well to being a family of 4, of course we aren't in reality yet because Paul's off all this week and all our friends are spoiling us rotten with dinner every night. So that's not much of reality @ all is it? But regardless we are loving the great treatment and Owen's loving dad being home so much.

There's alot more birth details, but let's just say that's available upon request. Thanks everyone 4 all the sweet calls, visits, flowers, meals...we're truly blessed!

Let the Games Begin...

so, I'm officially 37 weeks tomorrow and have 2 wait till friday for my next checkup which i'm really anxious to see whether it's same-0 same-0 or if there's been any change. this may all be too much information but hey, only those closest 2 me ought 2 be reading this anyways. but when pg and i went in last wednesday 4 my 36 wk. checkup i was informed i was already dilated to a 1 and 30% effaced. i know, i know, big deal...you can be dilated to a 1 for months. regardless i was excited seeing how when i had owen i was induced with no signs that my body was preparing itself 4 labor as God intended. so this is all new to me! long story short i had an emergency c-section with owen and am attempting a VBAC with baby boy gray #2. so paul and i would really appreciate your prayers. we have a peace about it, but there are some potential risks and we are so TRUSTING GOD for a glorious delivery day and delivery that we didn't get with our sweet boy owen.

also, if u think of it i'm going with my mom this wednesday 4 her to have another biopsy of her thyroid. she'd appreciate your prayers.

i know blogs without pics are boring...so rest assured in few weeks when i have a new wee tot i will quit making posts without pics. :)

things as of late...

so...alot's happened as of late that I haven't posted...things like celebrating april's bday in fw @ mi cocina's....ladies night last weekend in downtown fw and my 1st trip 2 see 4 Day Weekend Improv. Club...great conversations with some of my closest friends in the car on the way home @ 11 something @ night...and YES we are all mom's, so what were we thinking! But don't hold out 4 any photos of those events, i'm big and pregnant and i don't care 2 see pics of that plastered anywhere right now! :)

but what i'm really blogging about is on a more serious note. i'd like prayer 4 my mom. she's had a rough oh maybe 2 years now. makes me sad thinking about it...because it's been the first two years of my sweet boy Owen's life. and during the arrival of my 2nd sons life, all joyous events...but dampened by this evil looming cloud that satan's using right now. the details are tricky to explain, just keep her health physically and mentally in your prayers...it weighs heavy on me...though i may not speak about it.

thanks girls.

30/30

Well, how many people can say they were 30 wks. pregnant on their 30th birthday! Here's a belly shot per the request of a friend, thought you might like 2 see my belly from my view! Well lots of folks went into making my 30th bday special. I guess it started last night when my friend Keri surprised me @ lifegroup with a cake. Then, today started out with birthday cards from Paul and Owen. Couldn't make out what all Owen wrote in his card, but it totally brought a smile 2 my face. By the way he turns 2 Sunday! Then lots of phone calls and texts from friends/family. Off 2 the OB to hear my 2nd little man's heart beat, his birthday wishes 2 me I guess. And then 2 Golden Moon where a dear friend treated me 2 lunch. Grabbed last minute things 4 Owen's bday party this weekend and then headed 2 KDO 2 pick my little man up. Arrived home to a sweet lady delivering flowers from my husband. Which she made my day as well because she commented on how she loved my front porch and all my plants. Oh, my sweet husband contributed cash 2 my camera fund....as did other family members. I'm an aspiring photographer. Not really just love catching neat shots of things and people i love. Then cooked my family dinner, bathed little man, and he's in his bed 4 the night. Paul and I have 2 wait till this Friday night 2 celebrate over a meal when his folks come in who so graciously accepted his request 2 watch little man while we enjoy a meal in peace! Well that about sums up this monumental 30th birthday. Special thanks 2 all my pals that made it all it was.

1st Day of Kidz Day Out (AKA Mother's Day Out)

Well unless his KDO teacher's were completely lying and couldn't bare 2 tell us the truth Owen had a great 1st day @ KDO! Now, this doesn't mean he napped...and I didn't expect miracles the 1st day. Needless to say he came home and immediately crashed. Mom missed him more than he missed her I'm sure. The day went by fast we were busy in FW all day from drop off 2 pickup. Oh, and our dear friend Mrs. Megan managed to get the fire truck away ever so cleverly before entering his classroom. Thanks Megan!

Bye Bye Shaggy Hair Look

Before Hair CutAfter Hair Cut

Well I'm sad to say I honestly miss Owen's shaggy hair look! For those of you that haven't noticed his hair was getting quite long because as his personal hairdresser for the past 23 months I realized I have no talent and so months back I refused to keep trying and vowed to never personally cut his hair again. Well it just so happens that I have a dear friend that's a hairdresser and on our Friday Night Date Night with the Timmerman's we had Abby give Owen a much needed haircut. She even brought her sweet little hair robe from when she was little! So we popped in Owen's favorite movie Cars and away she cut, doing a fantastic job might I add! But I was still sad, because the short hair do made him look like a big boy and I didn't much like that. I miss the messy shaggy look. :(

Tackling the Toddler Bed

Well I'm hesitant to rejoice too soon. But it appears that we've mastered one of MANY milestones in a toddler's life....transitioning from crib to toddler bed. I have to admit, I was pretty nervous about the whole thing, even dreading it. But it went really smooth. He's been in his big boy bed for about a week now and has only managed to fall out of it once and it obviously wasn't too traumatizing because the fall didn't even wake him. The next morning he was curled up in a ball on the floor by his bed. Too cute huh!
